I was born and raised in Honolulu by Filipino immigrant parents and earned my Doctor of Architecture from the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa. My graduate research explored eco-trends in the Philippines, giving me a deeper connection to my cultural heritage and its relationship to craft.

My architectural career has taken me across the U.S. and Asia, but I eventually found myself returning home to Hawaiʻi—”a local Filipina returning to the islands under her own quiet grief” as my husband describes. After several years in Honolulu, life took me and my family (husband and only child, Chief) to Japan, where we’ve now lived for just over three years.

Today, I’m expanding beyond architecture and pushing myself well outside my comfort zone, rediscovering creative ambitions I had long forgotten. My work increasingly lives at the intersection of fashion, craft, and ephemeral sculpture—an ongoing exploration of what can be made, worn, remembered, and transformed.
